So what can you do with a lab encoder? How about encode secret messages to
email to your friends! Or better yet, look for the encrypted secret lab notes
scattered around our site - copy and paste them in the box below to see what secrets

Enter the text to encode in the box on the left (green). Press the Encrypt
Me button to encode the text. To decode text, enter or cut and paste the encrypted
message in the box on the right (red) and press the Decrypt Me button to decode
the secret message.

Copying and Pasting Text
Copy and Paste in the Windows environment is quite simple. Simply highlight
the text you wish to copy with your mouse by clicking and dragging across the text.
Once the text is highlighted press the CTRL-C keys (press the C key while holding
down the Ctrl key) to copy the text and CTRL-V to paste it.
Using the Encrypt/Decrypt Utility
Put the text you wish to encode in the green box and press the Encrypt Me button
to encode the text. Copy and Paste any encoded text in the red box and press
the Decrypt Me button to decode the secret message.

Want to give it a try? Copy the text below by clicking right before the first
'E' letter and while holding down the left mouse button, drag the mouse across the
remaining letters. Once all of the letters are highlighted, press the CTRL-C
key combination to copy the text to the clipboard. Then return to the Encrypt/Decrypt
Utility and paste the text in the red box (by clicking once in the red box and pressing
the CTRL-V key combination). Now press the Decrypt Me button to see what the
secret message is.
