Game Instructions

Yes!  That's what Reeko likes to see - a little scientist who loves a challenge.  Be forewarned, this is one of the more complicated and evolving games in the lab.  It's also very addicting...

Here's how you play the game...

  1. If you have not played before then fill out the registration before continuing.  If you have played before, enter your email address to continue playing.
  2. You will be presented with the first question.  Answer the question correctly to continue.
  3. If you answer the question incorrectly, your score will be reset to zero and you'll have to start a new game.  If you answer the question correctly, you will be given the opportunity to continue or stop where you are and keep your current score.  Remember, if you choose to continue and answer a question incorrectly then you must start all over.
  4. You have 60 seconds to answer each question and 2 minutes to read each explanation.  Pay attention to the timer at the top of the page.  If you run out of time, you will be taken back to the beginning of the game.
  5. On the question page you'll see 3 little life preservers - one is labeled '1', the second is labeled '2', and the third is labeled '3' (isn't Reeko clever). If you get stuck on a question you can use these life preservers to eliminate some of the answers.  The life preserver labeled '1' will eliminate the first incorrect answer, the life preserver labeled '2' will eliminate the first two incorrect answers, and so on.
  6. On the question page, you'll sometimes see a little symbol with an exclamation point on it. This indicates a hint is available. You are allowed to use 2 hints. Note that not all questions have hints available.

Tips about the game (pay attention to these)

  1. Each subsequent question becomes progressively harder and harder.
  2. The game is dynamic and changes continuously.  The difficulty of the questions changes as the game is played by you and other players.  The more a given question is answered correctly by you and other players, the easier the question is rated.  As a given question is missed by you and other players, the more difficult the question is rated.
  3. Don't use the 'Back' button on your browser - this will reset the game and force you to start over at the beginning.
  4. Be sure to carefully read the explanations that follow each question.  These explanations usually contain clues and answers to other questions in the trivia game (as well as contributing towards making you a scientific genius just like Reeko!).
  5. And lastly, DON'T GIVE UP!  If you get a hard question the first time then play the game again! Questions are chosen at random so sometimes the first questions are a little bit hard...

Good luck and as always - have fun!
